Ingredients
  • 1 mixture: 400ml orange juice
  • 400ml oil
  • 180ml olive oil
  • 50g powdered sugar
  • grated zest of 2 oranges
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 2-3 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 mixture: 1kg flour
  • 200g semolina
  • Syrup: 500ml water
  • 800g sugar
  • 150g honey
  • 1 orange cut in half
  • 5 cloves
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
Preparation
  1. First, prepare the syrup.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the second mixture and gently add the first mixture without much kneading.
  3. Take about 30g of the dough and shape it into an oval, pressing lightly with a fork on top.
  4. Place on parchment paper and bake at 190-200°C for about 25-30 minutes.
  5. Dip them in the syrup for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Arrange on a platter and sprinkle with honey and walnuts.
